Science: Cannabis research data reveals a focus on harms of the drug

Since 2000, research funders have provided over $1.5 billion for cannabis research in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. This article highlights that most of this funding supports research on the harms of cannabis use, rather than the potential therapeutic benefits.
